It's been some time since I've had a project on my design wall. This is my version of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt from Quiltmaker magazine. I'm in the process of sewing the rows together for my Christmas Lights top. I purchased the border fabric without having the quilt top with me. Crossing my fingers that the border fabric looks good with the quilt :)

I never have good luck when I purchase the border fabric with the quilt fabric. At the time, all the fabric looks great together, but then, after construction, it just looks yucky!
What a great looking quilt. I'm sure the border will look great. If not and you decide on something else, use the fabric for your backing.
I have my Christmas Lights rows put together. I need to scrounge around and find some setting fabrics and then it will be done too! Hooray! I sewed up a storm this past weekend. Also made your Cajun bean soup so we'll have some hot & spicy food this COLD week. PS: Steve wants me to remind you that Penn State won hee hee!
Wow, it looks like you have a huge design wall! Your quilt looks great and the nice thing about scrappy is that so many fabrics will work well together - I am sure your border fabric will be just fine! Cheers! Evelyn
Christmas Lights looks great and I am sure the border will be just fine as well.
The quilt is spectacular and I'm sure the borders will only make it wonderfuller.
