One of the things I love about quilters is that we have lots of opinions! :) I received some $$$ as part of a Christmas gift. The newest fabric line by Blackbird Designs, Blueberry Crumb Cake is so me - love the blues , browns and creams. I checked with my local quilt shops, but they were sold out of the pre-cuts or didn't carry the line. Burgundy Buttons, an online shop, had an after Christmas sale. I snatched this jelly roll and fat eight bundle. I'd love suggestions on the pattern or design to use these lovelies. I'd like to make a "big quilt" for our bedroom - queen or king size. I can order yardage online, but want to use as much of my pre-cuts as possible. The design that is appealing to me most at this time is a log cabin quilt. Any other ideas? Thanks for your input and ideas!!!!
It's been three weeks since my surgery. I'm doing quite well in my progress. I'm able to do most things for myself except for hauling things up and down the stairs. I've graduated to a cane from my walker.I'm still on pain meds. but am taking them less frequently. I was able to attend some holiday events (very low key ones). This week I am scheduling more naps and trying not to over do:)

I don't have any special pattern to recommend. But with that said I'd tell you to go to The Fat Quarter Shop's website. For each pattern they sell, they list the fabric requirements for that pattern. And they're patterns are categorized by precuts so that is also useful when searching for a specific kind of pattern.
P.S. I'm glad you're doing so well after surgery. Keep taking it easy and I hope you back to 100% soon.

has very pretty blue log cabin squares in the picture on her header. That might give you some ideas - mix the browns and blues maybe?
So glad to hear that you are doing well. I would love to get my hands on some Blueberry Crumb. Like you, our LQS don't carry the fabrics that I like. Mostly all have gone to the more modern trends (either that or they are closing). Can't wait to see what you make with this beautiful fabric.
Glad you are feeling better! I would check out Moda Bake Shop - you can search patterns by precut size. They have SO many beautiful patterns - I know because I have MANY bookmarked for the future ;)
Glad you are recovering. When I saw Blueberry crumb cake I immediately thought it would look good in a log cabin pattern. Great minds think alike I have always heard.
What about Pat's Strawberry Pie?
If you want a local store that has your fabric-- Sewn with Luv in Newnan does have bolts-- along with Jelly Rolls and a layer Cake. Was there on Saturday
So glad to hear you're doing as well as can be expected, don't over do! I have some of that Blueberry Crumb cake fabric too and have no idea what to do with it, hopefully you are one of your blogging friends will be of help.
I found a pattern called "Yin Yang" by Daniela Stout & it's with Cozy Quilt Designs - that I think would work. I like it anyway and am going to be making one myself!!
Now I am going to go look at the store you like!!
