Giveaway!!!!!!

It's GIVEAWAY time!!!!!  I had originally planned to participate in the Sew Mama, Sew giveaway in May. Things were just a bit too busy for me to enjoy the giveaway. I love to visit your blogs, respond to your comments and just plain make new friends. This week is better for me, so....

Pat Wys  and B.J. Laird of Silver Thimble Quilt Company have donated 4 packages of B.J.'s sewing inspired notecards. Each package has 3 notecards of the same design. I have a thing for paper products - notecards, notepads and writing paper.  I'd love to have packs of all  4 of these designs. My friend Kristie purchased some to put in frames to decorate her sewing room. Great idea! I may steal that idea:)

Leap Year - the Giveaway!

Happy Leap Year, dear friends!  I've joined the blog hop at Such a Sew and Sew blog. What a fun way to celebrate an extra day to the year.  This is a one day only giveaway. It begins tonight and ends tomorrow evening at midnight (Feb. 29th) I'll use the random number generator to choose the winner on Thursday morning, March 1st. My giveaway is for one of my favorite patterns to use with a fabric line.

Strawberry Pie by Silver Thimble Quilt Company is jelly roll friendly. I've made this quilt several times. I've actually purchased fat quarters/quarter yard cuts of a fabric line for the strips and a little over a yard for the focus blocks. It's my go-to pattern when I love a fabric line, but don't know what pattern to use. Leave a comment on this post. Tell me your favorite new or old fabric line. Happy Leap Day, friends! And Happy Birthday, Bev!

Miscellaneous Monday

I admit it. I have no shame. I've entered the Bernina Sewing Room Make-over. I'm begging you to vote for me. I've "outgrown" my bedroom sewing room. We have a finished room in our basement that I could use, BUT it needs heating, cooling, lots of lighting and storage. Here is my room:

Here's the link to vote for my room.  My entry is number 403.  You can vote once a day until Thursday. Thanks so very much!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Week

It's birthday week at our house.Don't you just love the LSU Garden Gnome. I didn't even know they existed. It is a gift to  DS to his Dad. Thursday was DH's day and Saturday is our oldest son's day. Since this week was a bit wild for both of them, we celebrated last Sunday. Sorry, I forgot to take photos, but the  meal and cake were fabulous:) Today, the landscapers arrived to do the work in our front yard. A tree needed to be removed, shrubbery replaced and sod added. DH was in his element. For years, we've done all the work ourselves. His treat this year was to hire someone else to do the work.

A finished job!
