Celebrate good times! This is one of the songs that we sing at our Silver Thimble Sewing Club sewing sessions. My one year anniversary was in January. I missed that. My 100th post was near that time. I missed that too. I really think that I should just hibernate in the Winter. I definitely go into "half-hibernation" mode. This is my 150th blog post. Yahoo! For someone who just never even wanted to post a comment on the blogs that I read religiously, blogging has been a positive thing in my life. With that in mind, I purchsed Moda's Hello Betty charm pack for a give-away. The pattern is the pattern that I've used for my T-shirt quits. I found an extra copy. Please leave a comment on this post explaining what you like about quilting blogs. You don't have to have a blog, just enjoy reading them. I'll do a random drawing next Sunday, May 3rd. Please join in the fun. I love reading your comments!

Neat giveaway. Congrats on #150! I love seeing what everyone is up to and getting inspired by quilt blogs.
There are a few reasons I like reading blogs.
First, I enjoy connecting with people who like to do what I like to do. I don't belong to a guild, so my contact with others who quilt is limited.
Secondly, I love the inspiration. Reading others' posts, ideas and seeing their work fuels my own creativity.
Thirdly, I like the people I write to and hear from. Sometime I'd like to have an opportunity to meet several of them.
Congratulations on your 150th post. Your blog is great and your work is incredible.
Hugs
I like quilting blogs for the same reasons I like guild meetings--to see what everyone else is working on and for Show and Tell. Also because I learn lots of new things, and I like hobknobbing with other quilters!
I love getting inspiration from other quilters. I enjoy planning projects as much as (if not more than!) actually executing them, so visiting quilting blogs gives me lots of projects to plan!
Gee, I've never seen your blog before. Congrats on yur 140th. I too don't always comment, but love to read.
I love the inspiration from reading blogs. I always think, I would like to make that, but of course, I will never have the time to make all of those.
found your blog searching for tshirt quilt ideas. I made them for my 2 grown children several years ago and my dd was showing hers off and now her co-workers want them too. she teaches at a HS and you can imagine how many t-shirts HS teachers can accumulate supporting school events. what do I love about quilting blogs, ideas inspiration motivation all things I need. thanks for all of this and more.
I am an avid blog reader. I have my dashboard blogs, my shortcuts to blogs, and Quilter Blogs that I go through on a daily basis. I comment on occassion, and usually always sign up for giveaways if it's something I can use. I am in the process of painting/organizing my sewing room, and I don't have room to add stuff I will never use....
Congrats on making it to 150 posts!
Hi,
Your t-shirt quilt came out great! I would love to know how to make one.
I read blogs to learn about new techniques and because I love to see the creative ideas others share.
I have saved many of these ideas and tutorials in a virtual Quilting Library. I started the collection for myself but realized quickly that others could use the info if I could figure out how to organize it.

Since I started tracking visitors in February, the library has had almost 6000 visitors.
I am pleased that my blog reading and internet research has benefited so many others who are looking for information.
I like reading about new techniques and patterns.

You were the one that introduced me to quilting blogs. I could spend hours reading them, if I had time. I love reading what other people are doing, and what is popular in different parts of the country. I also have come to feel like some bloggers are my friends.
I started reading quilt blogs about a year ago, after I was hit by a car, and unable to do just about anything. Reading the blogs got me through the frustrating months of pain, physical therapy and not being able to quilt. For the first time in my life I had free time but couldn't use it. The blogs gave me inspiration and hope, kept me going by making me laugh and seeing what others do was so enlightening and sometimes humbling.
I am almost healed, thank god, and can now quilt again, but I still read the blogs. I don't think I'll ever stop.

I just love seeing what everyone is up to and keeping abreast of trends. Right now, modern quilts with squares and solid colors are popular. So is grey and a color (red, yellow or blue) as a color scheme. I have three times as many blogs listed in my sidebar as you do! I'm totally addicted.
I love all the inspiration on quilting blogs. And the very giving bloggers who are willing to share tutorials.
Thank you for the chance for the giveaway...
I don't have a blog, but love reading them and have quite a few saved in favortes. Yours is one, especially since you are a Louisiana girl.
Loved seeing the prom pix--my baby is 22, so the excitement of prom days is over.
Congratulations on the post.
What I like about reading blogs? Ideas, encouragement, the "common thread" between us all! And I like all the things you read about bloggers lives that AREN'T quilty--family, friends, pets, THEIR LIVES!!
What I like about blogging is having goals, a way to focus thoughts. Accountability (oh those nasty stash reports!) And the encouragement and ideas I receive from the people who read my blog!
I love seeing flowers, nature, weather, people having fun. Pictures of WIP! Tutorials! Oh, so many things!
Even book suggestions!
I am so glad we challenged each other to start a blog!!!! I love reading blogs and posting on mine (Steve says TOOOOOO Much!!!!) I love seeing everyone's projects and reading about their pets, hometowns, trips, books, family, and everything else. I think a great outcome of blogs is that it's like being part of world-wide community.
I love seeing what other quilters are doing. I feel like I know the quilters whose blogs I read regularly and am delighted when I can actually meet them.
I have a whole file of inspiration quilts from blogs.
Congrats on 150 posts! I like the inspiration, seeing quilts and reading the stories behind them, the challenges, and the daily thrill of seeing some fun eye-candy. I'd like to know more about your author's quilt. I've made six quilts with elementary school children and its fun and challenging work. How long did this one take?
I love seeing how creative others are and imagine myself creating a quilt as well. I've bought the fabric, I bought a pattern, now if I was only brave enough to try to sew it together. Anyway, I love seeing what everyone else has made.

Hi Becky, Congrats on your milestone! And also Congratulations on your school "signatures quilt" being pictured on the front page of the newspaper. I'll pass the newspaper on to you when I see you in case you need an extra copy for your scrapbook :-)
Congrats on 150 posts!
I love reading quilt blogs and wish I had more time to spend on surfing the blogs. But I enjoy quilting even more than reading about it, so I have to limit my time on the computer!
Hello Becky, thank you for the invite to celebrate your 150th post...congratulations......I enjoy blogging which has become an extension of my hobby....quilting/crafts......the ability to connect with like minded people world wide.....the warmth/friendship/caring given from a lot of wonderful people...our extended family in a sense..Warm Regards Lyn
Congratulions on reaching post 150! That is wonderful!
Congratulations on the anniversary of your 150th post! What I like about blogs is sharing with people who have the same passion for quilting that I have!
Oh, now I see the quilt pattern you used on the t shirt quilt. I will have to see if my local quilt shop has it. Of course, I would love to win it too :)
I started blogging almost a year ago now and love keeping track of what I've been up to. Never was good at keeping a diary/journal, but knowing that others are out there reading what I'm up to helps keep me motivated to keep writing.
What I love about quilting blogs...motivation...inspiration...sharing...learning...listening (read reading)...chatting (read typing)...connections with those who share your passion. Congratulations on your 150th post!
